Studio Policies & Guidelines

Group Classes:

Because music is a performing art, rehearsing together is necessary. Fortunately, this is also a whole lot of fun! Group classes are as important as private lessons for the student's musical experience and growth, developing life skills which are used in all experiences. This is also a perfect opportunity for parents to notice what skills are solid and what ones need more work. Therefore, group class is not optional. If a student does not come to the group, there is no change in tuition amount. However, if group class is missed altogether, the student will not be able to perform with the group in concert.

The student learns how to:

  • Listen with and to others
  • Perform in an ensemble
  • Lead a group
  • Keep a steady beat
  • Express him/herself
  • Welcome in the musical ideas of others

Missed Lessons:

Our studio calendar is designed as much as possible in conjunction with the Pinellas public-school calendar.  Consistency is absolutely the number one most important facet for your child’s success. There are no make-ups for lessons missed and no refunds once you have registered for the month. The same applies for any missed groups.

New Students:

When a new student enters mid- year, the remainder of the entering month is due upon acceptance into the studio. Thereafter, regular monthly tuition is due the first of each the month and is based on a 12-month year.
